Welcome to RiverBeds Bed & Breakfast
Located in the historic town of Amherstburg on the Detroit River, we offer you one of the best riverfront views in the area. Your hosts Rocco and Karen invite you to sit back, put your feet up and relax with your morning cup of coffee, a cold drink and a good book in the afternoon, or a glass of wine while watching some of the most spectacular sunsets on the horizon. Ships from around the world, scores of pleasure craft, a vast array of birds, and even the occasional cruise ship can all be enjoyed from our deck. The ultimate treat is to reserve a session of theraputic massage on the balcony on a warm sunny afternoon. Now that's relaxation, ahhhh........
Along with rest and relaxation there are so many things to do in Amherstburg and the surrounding area of Essex County. RiverBeds is within walking distance of Fort Malden Historic Park which hosts many events on their beautiful grounds, including Art by the River in August and the International Shores of Erie Wine Festival which takes place in September.
You can take a leisurely walk to the downtown area and enjoy a variety of fine dining establishments and great shopping. Stop in at the Waterfront Café for an ice cream cone and stroll along the riverfront at the stunning Navy Yard Park.
Spending the day at Point Pelee? We can provide you with a picnic lunch so you can stay and make the most of the day. Bicycles are available if you’d like to take a ride around our lovely town. We are 20 minutes from the city of Windsor and 25 minutes from the Ambassador Bridge to Detroit.
Consider RiverBeds your base camp as you explore all that the area has to offer.
